COMMUNITY EVENTS

  • Rudyard Lions Weekly Drawing tickets for 2017 are now available.:  First drawing $100, second drawing , $25, from January through December 2017. There will be 52 drawings = Each drawing will be on Friday at 9 am. Drawing location: Spencer Insurance Agency, 11259 West Main St., Rudyard, MI 49780. Even if you win, your ticket stays in for the rest of the drawings! Donation: $52.00, only  200 Tickets Sold. State Lic. #X90713. Proceeds to go towards Lions sponsored projects and community projects.
  • January - March Cross Country Skiing at the Rudyard School Farm ski trails. (located 4 miles north of Rudyard on Tilson Rd. and 1 mile west on Thompson Rd.) Trails of varying length are maintained and groomed by the Rudyard Lions Club as long as snow conditions allow.
  • Community Red Cross blood drives in 2017 are scheduled for July 14, September 15, and November 17, at Rudyard Township Hall from Noon to 6:00 pm.
  • April 2018 - Rudyard Lions Annual Pancake Supper at the Rudyard High School cafeteria.  Lots of great food!  4:30 - 7:00 p.m.
  • Lions food tent at Rudyard Township Hall July 29, 2017, during the annual Summerfest Car Show, proceeds to the Township Park
  • 21th Annual Rudyard Lions Triathlon and 5K Race: Sunday, July 30, 2017, 9:30 am.  Visit our web site and sign up today.
  • Rudyard Lions provide lunch and snacks for the DALMAC Bike Tour on September 3, 2017
  • Holiday wreath sales--November 2017--with delivery about December 1, 2017
  • Texas Hold 'Em:  Planned for November 2017, at the Rudyard Township Hall, Rudyard, Michigan, from 6:30 pm to 12:30 am.  Benefits Rudyard Lions Club and Rudyard High School Baseball and Softball, Michigan License to be applied for.
  • Santa's visiting the Rudyard Township Hall in December 2017.  All area kids are welcome to join the fun.
  • Rudyard Fire Department as been selected as one of five different departments as a pilot for the Michigan Smoke Alarms for Everyone (MI SAFE) Program. The MI SAFE committee was established to provide direction, guidance, and smoke alarms for everyone.  Smoke alarms are bought by the committee with resources provided by a grant. Installations will be completed by the Rudyard Fire Department members.  This is a voluntary program open to all residents under the RFD coverage area, and it's free to homeowners.   If you are  interested in having FREE smoke alarms installed in your home, please call the Rudyard Township Office at 906-478-5041 and leave your name, phone number, and the best time to be contacted.
