RUDYARD LIONS RECEIVE INTERNATIONAL AWARD


         Rudyard Lions Club members Chari Fischer and Tom Piippo received the Melvin Jones Fellowship award at the club meeting on June 7, 2017.  The award was presented by Past District Governor Jerry Stephens on behalf of the Lions Clubs International Foundation.  Recipients are chosen from Lions Clubs that provided significant contributions to the Foundation.

        The Lions International Foundation supports international programs to save sight, vaccinate children, provide disaster relief, and meet humanitarian needs.   "Since its founding in 1968, the Foundation has awarded over 13,000 grants for over $1 billion," said Stephens.  "We greatly appreciate the continued financial support of U.P. Lions Clubs like Rudyard's.

FUTURE LEADER DOG VISITS RUDYARD LIONS CLUB MEETING




Representatives of the Leader Dog prison puppy raising program visited the Rudyard Lions Club at their cook-out meeting on June 7, 2017.    Program representatives Jilliam Saloman and Rob Batho brought Hunter, one of the most recent  puppy trainees, to meet club members.
